In The Spotlight!
Founded in 1930, the Payette Lakes Progressive Club is a non-profit  philanthropic and public service organization. 93 years later and over 100 members strong, we work together to carry forward the club goals to support the quality of life in the McCall area including the:
  • Promotion of education
  • Betterment of civic and public well-being 
  • Support of youth activities​ ​
  • Beautification of our community

Since 2014, the Payette Lakes Progressive Club has raised and given over $314,000 to our community including grants to local philanthropies who support age groups spanning young children to senior citizens, and higher education scholarships for local area high school seniors.​ In the last 10 years, we have increased our annual Scholarship budget from $4,000 to $27,000, and increased the annual Grant budget from $5,000 to $32,000!

Take A Look At Our Events

Learn About Our History 

Founded in 1930, the Progressive Club was involved in many early projects that served the community. The club:
  • Established the Cemetery Foundation who coordinated the village cemetery on land donated by the Brown family.
  • Helped to establish the McCall Public Library, which started with a few shelves in an abandoned lady's restroom of a garage.
  • Actively participated in the early McCall Winter Carnivals by building floats for the parade, making ice sculptures and timing races.
  • Planted flowers in the spring and summer in parks and barrels along the main streets.
  • Promoted landscaping of City parks, financed the City park sprinkler system in the 1960's, and was integral in the formation of Art Roberts Park.
  • Purchased band uniforms for the high school in 1969.
  • Contributed to establishing the Memorial Hospital which is now St. Luke's McCall. 
  • Supported the Girl Scouts over many years which included giving scholarships for attendance to Camp by the Lake.
  • Continues to give annual competitive scholarship awards to graduating seniors from McCall-Donnelly, Meadows Valley and Heartland High Schools.
  • Continues to award grants annually to deserving philanthropies.
